Me and my brother are getting to be good friends. He talks to me all the time, and I bring him my toys hoping soon he can play fetch with me. He's pretty neat.

My humans have started giving me an apple every so often. I like apples--I eat the whole thing. It's like it was never there!

A couple of weekends ago me and the humans went to one of our other pack houses. It snowed and snowed! I spent the whole weekend smelling everything, everywhere in the powerdy whiteness...

One of my new possessions

I wanted to dedicate a whole blog posting to a great gift I got for Christmas from part of my pack up in Massachusetts. It's a stand for my food and water bowls so I don't have to bend down anymore--my neck feels better already! My humans posted an instructional picture on how to use it in case I got confused. Apparently, my intelligence is not readily apparent to everyone...

Happy holidays for me

I had such a great Christmas--I got new stuffed animals, chew toys, balls, and more! I hope you all had just as nice a holiday, and are getting ready for an as-good-if-not-better 2009!

An unusual couple of weeks

So right after I posted my last update, practically, we got a small new addition to our pack. I'm still trying to figure him out, but he smells really interesting...

The first dog

After the election this week, there has been a lot of talk about what kind of dog the President's family will get. Personally, I think labs are a wonderful breed, but I guess if you're allergic we're not a good match. Whatever kind of dog they get, I hope they go with a shelter dog. If I do say so myself we are pretty cool animals, no matter what breed we are!

Happy birthday to me!

This Saturday was my birthday. My humans say I am (probably) four years old. As you can see, I got a new chewey for my birthday. I like it a lot--thanks humans!

Happy Halloween!

River walk

Me and my friend Mia took our humans for a good walk along the river this morning--it was a beautiful, cool fall day. Besides playing with my friend, my favorite part was when my human stopped to get something to drink. I got a treat too! I like it when that happens.

Fall has fallen

This morning me and the human went to Central Park and it is definitely fall. We saw a big stack of pumpkins, lots of trees changing color, and guys setting up bleachers for the New York City Marathon that happens next weekend. I like this weather--it feels good to have my fur coat on when there's a chill in the air.

The bright lights of Broadway

Me and the human went one morning to check out the new glowing staircase in Times Square. She thought maybe we could climb it and see the sights before the crowds of regular people showed up. But they are not open 24 hours--the guard said they don't open until 10 am. I thought this was the city that never sleeps but I guess some things sleep later than even me!
