LOST

Me and my humans watch the tv show LOST every Wednesday. I like it because they live on a beach, and there is a dog named Vincent. He's a lab like me. There are some pretty crazy theories on the Internet that he's the root of all evil on the show too--obviously these people do not own Labs. Anyway, this past week's episode was pretty scary, but an added bonus was the dog portrait in a key scene. I wonder what signifigance that will have in the next episodes!

Ch-ch-changes

Today we got a new rug for our house. At first I wasn't sure I liked it, but as you can see I warmed up to it pretty quickly.

Also, I thought you might like to see my favorite chair in the apartment. It used to be too big for me, but now it's just the right size to curl up in, especially on a lazy afternoon.

So true

I read this story in the paper last week, about how if a dog is happy the tail wags to the right, and if not, to the left. It's totally true--I tested myself. I never noticed it before!

Spring has sprung

It's been a great start to spring here this weekend. Yesterday me and the humans went to Central Park, one of my favorite places. We walked around for a while, until we came to this big fountain. So I did what any self-respecting lab would--I went swimming! You can see me here on the right:
And here I am in action--the water was too deep too walk in, but not really deep enough to swim in. So this is me hopping around:

After this, we walked around the neighborhood, all the way down to the Hell's Kitchen Flea Market. Then I took a nap.

And THEN we went to the dog park...and the pool was up!!!!! It was a great day, and the best start to spring ever.

Another hobby

So another one of my hobbies is chewing on plastic bottles. The bigger, the better! The humans take off the cap and plastic ring on each one for me, and then I carry it around the house excitedly, chewing on the top until it's past recognition. It's great...though maybe the people who take away our recycling don't think so.

Rain, rain, go away!!!!

Well, the whole weekend wasn't rainy, but today sure was. It's been raining since we woke up. My friend Mia came over to my house for the first time ever today. I had to learn how to share my toys, but I was pretty good about it. We both chewed on bones.Yesterday me and the humans walked all the way down to 19th street to take me swimming, but the place said the pool filter was broken so I couldn't go swimming. We were disappointed. We walked pretty far to get there, and then we still had to walk all the way back!! But I took a big nap when we got home and I felt much better.

Hopefully tomorrow won't be as rainy as today. I don't like going for walks in the rain and getting wet. I only like to get wet if I'm swimming. I hope summer hurries up and gets here soon!
