Running paws

That's me. One of the humans and I are trying a new route on our morning runs--which she says are going to be more frequent. The last couple of times we've gone along the river, heading north along the public promenade. She says that if we get to 83rd street and back, that's three miles. We're not there yet--we've made it to the boat basin and back--but we're working on it. It's so pretty in the morning--the breeze blows and the sun reflects on the water. And I get turkey bacon along the way, which is the real reason I allow myself to be dragged out of bed.

A walk in the park

This morning one of my humans took me for a big walk in Central Park. Normally we do this only on weekends, so it was a nice change of pace for the workweek. We walked around hills, bridges, baseball fields, and I even got to say hi to a few new dogs.

Tonight the humans had Mexican food for dinner...and guess who got some of the extra taco in with her dog food? (First two guesses don't count.)

Summer Times

It seems like things are finally slowing down and getting back to normal around here. By which I mean my humans have more time to hang out with me and--most importantly--help me write my blog! This weekend started off great. We went to Massachusetts to see some more members of my pack, who we hadn't seen in a while. I'll let you guess what the other best part was:

Then Sunday morning me and my human, my friend Mia and her human, and her friend Luke and his human all went out to New Jersey to the big park. We hiked in the woods.

And then we went down to the beach and went swimming in the Hudson River. It was great. Luke would swim all day, and even Mia is getting good at it. I got to practice my fetching. I'm getting much better, as you can see:

I slept the whole way home.

Murder, he wrote

Another New York lab just let me know he has a book coming out--is that cool or what? It sounds like a good story. I might have to get my humans to pick it up for me (I promise I won't rip it up...)

Long time, no bark

My humans have been pretty busy lately. Too busy to help me update the blog. I tell them I have a following, but do they listen...? Here are a few photos that I think sum up nicely what I've been up to, and I promise I'll write soon.
